The 3rd Annual Ladies Conference was held on Saturday, October 15th and was a huge success.  If you were unable to attend this year, you will not want to miss next year.  We will soon begin the planning for the 4th annual conference and will post the date as soon as it is determined so that you can mark your calendars.  The Lord met us there and we had a wonderful time fellowshipping with other women as well as with the Lord.

• Karen Rarey was the guest speaker and she did a beautiful job of delivering God's word.  She spoke on the scripture found in 2 Timothy chapter one verses 6 & 7:  "Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." (King James Version)

• Stir - Continuous, progressive.  "Stirring up of the Gift continuously"
• Gift - sacrifice, present...doing nothing to receive it.
• Stirring up of 4 things: Boldness, Love, Power, and Sound Mind
• As Karen said, "You have a Gift within you...untie the ribbon!"

• There were 2 classes available presented by Carol Ousley and Kim Hooker:

• Carol spoke on unwrapping your gift and discovering your talent(s) and being committed to them.  As Carol put it, "When you unwrap that gift you must be committed to it."

 

• Kim spoke on the scripture found in 2 Kings chapter 19 and verse 3: "And they said unto him, Thus saith Hezekiah, This day is a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and blasphemy: for the children are come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth." (King James Version) As Kim put it, "Finish the birth...the benefits will far exceed the pain."
