You may think, I'm a good person I will make it to heaven.
Ask yourself this; Have I ever stolen anything? Big or small,
it doesn't matter, that makes you a thief. God's law says,
"Thou shalt not steal". Have you ever lied, white lie, or
stretched the truth? That makes you a liar. God's law says,
"Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor".
Do you put God first in your life? God's law says, "Thou shalt have
no other gods before me". This is only three of God's 10
commandments. Breaking these Laws makes us sinners.
God the Father is a "Just God", and because he is "Just",
no sin will enter the kingdom of Heaven. Sinners will be punished
by being cast into the lake of fire. Jesus the son of God said,
"There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." but by God's
love and grace, he sent his son Jesus to stand in for our sins.
He died for all of us so we may have a second chance at life.
Would you like to talk to God and ask him for forgiveness?
You can. Just ask him from your heart and he will forgive
you. If you do not know what to say, repeat this prayer to yourself or out loud.
"Father, I repent of all my sins.
I believe your son died so I may live.
Father, I ask you to come into my heart,
and have mercy upon my soul."
After you have said this simple prayer, from your heart,
you are now a child of God.
The bible says:
And it shall come to pass,
that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Acts 2:21 Jesus said,
"I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in
heaven over one sinner that repenteth,
more than over ninety and nine just persons,
which need no repentance."
